Maintenance Quantity Surevyor
A new permanent vacancy has been creating working for a leading Housing Association in Wolverhampton. Suitable candidates can be from a variety of backgrounds, including Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or Property Maintenance within the public or private sectors.
Suitable candidate will have experience/ability within:
Procurement and letting of contract
Represent the Property Services Management team on commercial services activities in all pre contract and procurement related matters.
Estimating and securing by competitive tender work for building maintenance and construction related functions
Experience to successfully managing large projects and budgets in excess of £20m.
Ensure that all pre contract and procurement administration and validation takes place in readiness for post contract monitoring. This includes the development, negotiation and monitoring of service level agreements for property related activities and out sourced contracts.
To prepare contract documentation, award contracts in readiness for post contract management.
An exciting role, by managing a small team of four your will:
Manage on a day to day basis all cost centre activities within Property Services, ensuring that financial parameters are set and maintained for the in house team to operate effectively and efficiently in a commercial environment.
Ensuring that continuity of work is achieved by developing income generation via third parties and preparing all pre contract documentation for the company and procure the foresaid works.
Responsible for exploring new areas of third party income generation by competitive tendering, devising and formulating a tendering strategy to support business needs.
Responsible for ensuring that Benchmarking, monitoring market trends and costs takes place utilising this information in securing competitive bids and appropriate rate of return.
In conjunction with the Head of Finance, control and monitor all income and expenditure on a cost centre basis. Providing cost centre control information for all contracts, overheads, central establishment, stores etc… to enable effective and efficient execution of works.
